Statement

A fascination with art pulls me to combine personal guilty pleasures of colour, texture & bold landscapes together with subtle comments on the contemporary everyday. My current work is the product of an addiction to touch, exploring art through the use of mark making. Something that I feel comes from within has become nearly a compulsive ritual as I indulge in the intimacy of crafting the balance of both complex and modest compositions. The foundation for my art is structured on the clash between traditional values of the past and the constantly changing question of who we are as a urban center. As an emerging artist I want create original ideas that have value for the audience adding a new voice to contemporary artwork in our province.
