Jonathan Cohlmeyer
Statement
Jonathan Cohlmeyer has recently graduated from SWGC (Sir Wilfred Grenfell College), Corner Brook, where he completed his Bachelors of Visual Arts in Fine Arts. Jonathan has had various Group exhibitions including About the Body, Small Talk, 123 Art!, Art in a Suitcase, The (Un)Resolved Component. He has recently shown his work in a solo show at the Arts & Culture Center (March 9-31), entitled Form: Constructed & Natural.
He has also participated in Past Due, a group exhibition of graduating students at the SWGC Art Gallery (April 7 – June 6). In September he will be in a show entitled The Resolved Component at the MUN Library in St. John’s Newfoundland along with other students from his graduating class. He will also show work in the Pick Me Up Art show in September. Jonathan graduated last May and would like to continue his education with the pursuit of a Masters in Fine Arts or Media Arts. This could lead to various career paths such as technological interface design, or teaching at a University Level. Currently he is employed as a Graphic Design / Layout editor with The Western Star.
